Incredibly Unique Fluorite with Barite - Fine Mineral Specimen

$200.00

Barite blades intersect fluorite in a naturally sculpted arrangement. The structure feels intentional yet organic, with soft cream barite framing gemmy fluorite crystals. Form, symmetry, and mineral relationship define the piece.

Under ultraviolet light, the fluorite shows a bright blue fluorescence. In natural light, it recedes, leaving the specimen’s geometry and density as the primary experience.

Dimensions & Weight

  • Dimensions: 4.5” × 3.25” × 3”

  • Weight: 1,725g

Collector’s Notes

In all of my years in this industry, I have never seen a piece like this before.

This specimen has a strong sense of balance, with barite blades creating a natural framework rather than competing with the fluorite. The mass is immediately noticeable when handled, giving it a grounded, substantial feel. The fluorescence is a secondary feature—present, but not dominant—making the piece suitable for both display under different light settings.

Highlights

  • Natural fluorite–barite association

  • Blue fluorescence under UV light

  • Large fluorite crystals

  • Unique, one of a kind, natural formation

  • Well-developed bladed barite with excellent spatial separation

  • Dense, heavy specimen with quiet visual presence

Metaphysical Properties

Fluorite is commonly associated with clarity and focus, while barite is regarded as grounding and stabilizing. Together, they are thought to support calm, steady energy rather than heightened or expressive states.

Mineralogy

Fluorite (CaF₂) and barite (BaSO₄) often form together in hydrothermal vein environments. The contrast between fluorite’s more compact crystal forms and barite’s bladed growth creates specimens valued for both geological context and structural harmony.
